I was setting up the sag for my fox 38, and noticed that it got 30% sag with a very low pressure (60 psi for 180 lbs rider). I thought the negative chamber was not equalized well, so decided to let go all air slowly and re-pump it.
After all air out and shock pump shows 0 psi, the fox 38 is still VERY still to compress, I even have to lean my body on it to make it move. I tried both lower leg pressure button but it doesn’t help.
Is there anything I can do? I’m wondering where this pressure comes from…
Yes, and air bleed ports works! I'm not sure why the ports didn't release the air last night, but after pump the fork again finally the bleed ports works! Thanks!
For what it's worth, I've noticed similar behavior with the ports on my 36. I usually need to push the bleeders in a few times rapidly before they release air. I'm guessing some grease/oil just gums up in there and needs to be cleared before air is released.
