I’m looking for a bike or bike I can build up to be similar to surly cross check.
I want to be able to fit bigger tires and wheels (maxxis hookworms etc.)
Cross checks are super cool bikes, but I’ve had 2 friends here have theirs stolen, so I would rather build up a sleeper frame and something less sought after by thieves. I’m just having a hard time finding something with enough clearance etc. Ideally after a 90s frame, but open to whatever options. I’m currently riding a 90s Concorde road frame…I basically want the same bike but able to fit fatter tires.
