Hi all, really hoping someone can help with an issue I am having, it maybe a novice mistake but any help would be appreciated.

I’m upgrading my 2018 Anthem 2 from SLX to XT, I picked up the gear and got new spank wheels with a microspline freehub. I’ve assembled all ok but as I tried to set RD to fit the low and high limit there is not enough adjustment to reach the 51t!

I’ve also noticed the RD seems to be far more forward on the hanger than my SLX was, not sure if that’s relevant. But the b screw only allows it to move a small amount and not enough to bring it lower than needed!

Any help is appreciated and wondering if there is a different hanger for the XT setup?

Cheers Martin

Which derailleur did you get. They do make two different ones. Do you have some pics of the derailleur and the hanger? I wonder if maybe you didn’t install the hanger correctly. There is a piece on the derailleur that will swing And needs to be placed on top of the hanger.

If this is your bike and it has the same setup, you will need a new derailleur hanger.

That bike has a direct mount hanger, you will need a standard hanger for the XT 12 speed.

Direct mount hanger: https://wheelsmfg.com/derailleur-hangers/shimano-direct-mount-hangers/derailleur-hanger-326.html

Standard hanger: https://wheelsmfg.com/derailleur-hanger-325.html

Yes that is the same bike and colour too. I think you may have nailed it pal, many thanks, I just need to locate one in the uk, I’ll hunt til I find.

Cheers pal
