My right pointer finger has been going number on longer downhills

Never happened before.

Recently adjusted saddle position.

I've always fussed with handlebar position rotating forward/back - so, it's possible I adjusted somewhat recently and forgot
My thought is to fuss with handlebar position forward/back and see if it fixes it.

But, does anyone have a solution or suggestion of what to mess with?

I've been running the same grips for at least 8 months, so I don't think it's the grips

Did you adjust the saddle to try and mitigate the numbness, or did it begin after the change?
Odds are good that you are gripping too tightly for some reason. Are we talking downhill, death grip, hard on the brakes? Or rolling down the street a few block over from your house? If it's the former, experiment with your lever position; I have found that by running my levers higher, I get zero arm pump and never any tingling.
