2 position remote vs 3 position lever for Grip damper?

2 position remote vs 3 position lever for Grip damper?

If a fork has a Grip damper, are the 2 positions used by the remote lockout Firm and Medium? I assume that a Fox fork with a Grip damper and a lever on the top of the fork cap has three positions, open, medium and firm, correct? Using a 2 position remote as a lockout, it would seem to make sense that the two settings are the firmest, and then the medium as the "non-lockout" setting.
