So around 8 months ago I bought my first enduro mtb and since then I've been enjoying it but for the last month one of my Shimano brake levers (model no. BL-MT501) has been clicking in a way that has caused me to crash a couple of times.
Just before it is fully compressed, it makes a very harsh clicking movement that causes you to lose control over the brake for a second. I like to ride steep-ish trails, which doesn't pair well with a malfunctioning brake lever.

Any solutions?

Weird… seems like a warranty issue especially if it’s within a year. I’d bring it to the shop you bought it from or contact the manufacturer and see what they can do.

Sorry for the late reply; yes it is probably either air in the system or indeed a warranty issue.
Some people replied, saying that I should bleed the brake, but the brake actually feels stiff instead of the normal squish of air

Yea I mean you can try and bleed it but seems more like a warranty issue.
