I race a dirt jumper... and call me eccentric, but kinda wondering if there is a way that carbon wheels can work on a DJ. I'm interested in the potential rigidity improvement. The drawback I noticed is that almost every carbon rim nowadays is hookless design. My understanding is that hookless mtb rims are compatible with almost all tubeless ready tires, but what no one tells you is whether or not hookless rims + tubeless tires work well at 60psi or above application in DJ. While something like Maxxis DTH isn't tubeless ready, I see that Continental Race King TR is, and it supposedly accommodates 60psi.

Has anyone tried something like this? Any thoughts you can share?

Note sure about specs, but tubolitos are pretty light, and work well so far on my carbon rims.

Good luck.
