i see what your saying about the budget issue... hardrocks are pretty decent for what like 400 bucks? all we are saying is that its not very smart to downhill or freeride with it because the bike is simply not made for it. Im not saying to get and buy a new bike but be aware of what your BIKE can actually handle.

Yeah soon I'll probably hit the point where the frame finally snaps, I'm saving for a new frame anyway so as long as I don't die when it does...

im loving the contraversy in this thread.

the hard rock makes a good dj bike with a beefy head tube . but the only disatvantage it has is vert drop outs

They could probs make a good 4x'er actually. The A1 isn't too strong though so will break eventually on the dj's.

they are good for 4x, i used mine on chiks track, nots exactly smooth but still great

Manitou Splice Comp 130mm
THE Seat
Singletrack Rear Rim
Avid BB7 Brakes, Speed dial Levers
Easton EA30 Bars
Lock ons
Aliveo Derailler
etc.etc.etc

Damn i wish i didnt sell it, but it was time to upgrade lol, fun bike tho.:P

lmfao i know, it started out just stock for something to ride, but then it got ran over and f*cked the crank, rim, derailler etc, so i rebuilt it, and then sold it for half what i put into it. haha i shoulda kept it
