Compressing Grip 2 Damper while lower legs removed?

I'm doing a lower leg service on my Fox 36 and of course I could not resist the temptation to compress the damper shaft while the lower legs where off the fork. While slowly compressing the damper I noticed a decent amount of oil come draining out. I understand the Grip 2 is an open bath system. Will that extra oil that came out be replaced when I reassemble the lowers and replace the 40cc of 5Wt PTFE oil?
