I have a sb100 and it’s developed an excessive amount rear end flex. All bolts are tight and the Switch Infinity preload is as tight as it’ll go. I also had a shop check for any cracks and they didn’t find anything. Any ideas on why this is happening would be awesome.

Several things to check:

1) Disconnect the shock from the link and see if the link has side-to-side play. If so, likely the aluminum sleeve bonded to the carbon frame has worked itself loose.
2) Clean and check the SI unit to see if there are cracks in the seam.
3) Check the carbon tabs where the SI unit connects to the frame and see if there are any visible cracks in the carbon.

If these check out then maybe the SI unit’s bolts were ridden loose for a time and stressed the frame. The bolt holes in the carbon tabs that connect to the SI unit have ovalized.
