https://youtube.com/shorts/L-XgpCtvWl4?feature=share need a little help. Was servicing my airshaft and correct me if I'm wrong but it shouldn't spring back like this right? I thought this issue was caused by too much grease but as you can see in the video there is only a small layer of grease. Any help is appreciated.
The negative chamber transfer/balance port is blocked when the shaft is compressed (sealing the negative chamber) but open when extended. If you performed your above test again, having removed the square seal on your piston to break the seal on your negative chamber, the shaft would not extend back. Both sides of the piston would be exposed to atmospheric pressure in that scenario.
