The new fuel looks to be the better bike I must say having been waiting for the new smuggler.. fox 36 carbon hoops full xt ..coil..
I think if you're even remotely considering a Trek with Bontrager components for $10k you might be in a slightly different market than Transition cares to be apart of.
Just a reminder that if you are near a dealer and want to order a bike direct PLEASE have the bike or frame shipped to your dealer as opposed to your house. The dealer will get a small credit on the sale and you get to support your LBS.
If it goes straight to your house your Transition Dealer gets zero.
Here's Transition's explanation of the current policy.
We were able to snag a small Espresso for my daughter. I'm hoping to get a GX AXS this summer. These should be a great compliment to our Spires, it looks like such a fun bike. The Spire is over kill for probably 75% of the riding we do.
Built my XL Orchid up with all the bits from my Banshee Phantom, which I absolutely love. I've been waiting for the Smuggler for a few years and I hope it lives up.
31 lbs 4 oz with pedals for an XL is pretty decent.
Sweet build! How does it ride? Can u compare to the spur & sentinel?
Sadly no saddle time on a Spur. Lots on a Sentinel though. It rides like a Sentinel that did more crossfit workouts. Climbs fantastic and is really good downhill. I think this bike will eclipse the Sentinel for people who know they are unlikely to ever hit really steep tech. I'll have more info in the next few weeks. Unfortunately we have about a week of solid rain arriving tomorrow.
