Its awesome fun but costs too much in australia (20C a ball- youre shooting a dollar every 5 shots.) I'd love to do it more often but the scene in australia isn't quite... with it. like waiting something stupid like 4 months for a gun liscense (for every new gun aswell mind you) and 90% of fields having a "use our guns, our air, our balls and our cammo" policy. $100 a day isn't quite worth it when you've got wiping bastards either.

Go on www.pbnation.com and check out
www.pbreview.com for reveiws of all the equipemtn available now or ever

If you are just starting out and dont mind a steep learning curve I would say buy a Phantom Pump marker...you will get shot up in the beginning but once you can stand your own ground with a pump marker you will absolutely dominate with a semi. Make sure you get a stock class with 10 round tube setup. You can learn more about them on the Phog Phorum (google it), they are the lightest guns out there and are extremely small and good looking-the Phantom is the ferrari of the pump paintball marker world so you can't go wrong.

If you are lazy and dont want to learn you could go with a tippmann or some other semi...but be prepared to pay a butt load for all the paint you are going to use. Once you learn how to play well with a pump you will use maybe 300 paintballs in an entire day and will get the same number of people out as you would using a semi @ 500-1000 a day depending on how bad your aim is and whether your marker is modded to shoot faster. Paintball is expensive if you play with a semi plain and simple-play with a pump and you save tons of cash and you could actually play for free if you take the extra that the tounry players can't fit in their pods which adds up to being a hundred or more sometimes which is more than enuff for a pump player-air is free if you have a small 4oz tank since its too small a size to actually charge momney to fill...you get 300 or so shots per fill.
Cheers and have fun,
-Roger

Heres my Phantom...I left the sport after 7 years playing it this year and have owned 3 different phantoms, cockers, electronic guns, tippmanns, etc... I enjoyed the Phantoms the most by far, here was my last gun I sold a few months ago.

The best gun to start with i would say, would have to be a smart parts ion. Their fairly cheap, and there one of the most upgradable guns you can buy. Check out the one i got for sale in my buy and sell! Razz
