I'm looking for a U$1000 range, but in my country, this is the price of a MZ Super T.
A 66 costs something like 1500 dolars.
We receive less for the job and pay more for the parts.

have the new stinkys changed? because for at least teh '05s you couldn't put more then 170 or 180mm of travel on teh bike or teh warantee would void, and some people cracked their headtube/down tube junction.

How can the 888 be too heavy? The 888RC3 '08 (regular 888 ) weighs in at 3220grams (7.09lbs). That's 91grams heavier than the Boxxer Team. A fork which many pros/semi-pros use. Besides, even if weight was of concern (which it isn't believe me, and if it really is, you need to hit the gym, man) its performance would far outweigh the weight.

Boxxer. Branded as a "race-fork", automatically refers back to "Manitou Dorado Race-fork", which was known for its horrible maintenance issues. It's a solid fork, it hardly requires any maintenance. The seals are fine, everything is fine, it won't require more maintenance than any 888 out there.

The WB Groove is the super light fork, which is apparently sub 6lbs. Sure, that would be cool. Apparently it's as stiff as any fork out there, and still lighter. Cool. But the damping sucks. There was an article regarding that fork posted on pinkbike like three months ago. MBUK had a review of it too, it's not reacting to small-bumps.

Fox 40. Apparently too heavy, right? And if it's not (but the 888 was, right?) it would be too expensive.

Manitou Travis. Oh yes, the cheapest of the triple clamp forks out there, and there's a reason to it. It's not very stiff, the adjustments apparently don't do very much, and it is prone to dive under hard braking.

If you're deadset on a lightweight dual-crown fork, I'd go for the 888, they're not as heavy as they used to be. If you want a tad bit lighter, I'd go for a Boxxer '06 or newer.

Did you really bring back a 6-month-old thread just to say that?

boxxers are worth the money,

Along with every fork on the market you need to maintain them. every year your fork will need a rebuild so the boxxer is like every other fork but just better for dh. light, strong, feels great. get the boxxer
