Aluminium are only good for park, same with plegs. If you use them for that then they'll both last pretty long.
Plegs are good because they cause minimal damage but they need replacing more frequently. Alu is good because they are more durable (bad for concrete) but are slightly heavier
Hopefully this isn't a total grave dig, did that say 08 or 08? *phew* good. 09.
Oh. i just realized it was a BMX thread. Can anyone help me out anyhow?
okay so i have come across a delemma here. As you all know Ironhorse is out of buisness and the Sundays are a dying breed. I HOPE to race DH sometime soon, if not, i still like a DH bike to screw around on. I am currently riding a 2006 Devinci Johnson 8.5" rear and 8" front w/dual crown fork. Long story short, i have narrowed my choice of bikes down between the wilson 3-4 and the IH sunday.
I am: 5'10 140, 145-150 with gear. - really tall body, short ish legs w/30" inseam size 13 feet. I ride, genrally everything from deep mud to pavement and all in between.
The bikes will be pretty well spec'd. All i'm looking for is a FRAME v.s FRAME here. Sunday is world cup winning, i'm pretty certain the newer wilsons will win some podiums aswell.
Price range - Almost forgot, i'm trying to keep it under 4 grand. I will probably buy frame only.

Wrong thread to ask, I will send you HERE for this question.
Looks like the Rutherford is retailing for less ($410) then even the lowest clearance price on the Redux ($430). Can't tell from the published specs where all they shaved costs, but for only 20 bucks more seems like the Redux is a better bike.
I'm looking to upgrade from a Diamondback Lucky 16. It's for an 8 yr old (4' 3") that likes dirt jumping and some skate park riding.
