hey folks,

as I´m still out of riding a few more weeks... I´m bored and thinking about pimping / upgrading my XL V10 29 (2019) with Fox dhx2 performance...

Currently I´m running a 650lbs spring (original Fox as I can´t find a lightweight spring in this lbs class).... this spring shows 740g on the scale Confused but actually this isn´t a problem for me...

But with 214lbs myself without clothes and gear, the 650 spring isn´t really on the firm side.... especially with the recommendation of 19-21% sag it´s almost too soft.

My questions is, did anyone try an air shock in the V10 10.7? and what are your thoughts....
I would like to test a 2021 Fox X2, as they should be more reliable now (but who knows...)...
Any other recommendations ?

Thanks
Mitch

Have you double checked your sag numbers, I’m running a factory DHX2 and I’m heavier than you at 230 lbs, plus I ride with a heavier backpack (coaching) and I’m still in the recommend sag range with a Fox 650 spring

You run a dpx2 with a spring? XD

But I will check again! based on my feeling on the bike its a bit too soft... but the dhx2 performance (w/o elite) hasn´t really alot of compression for my needs ...

Hi,

According to Santacruz V10 2021 specification,

Fork of S build is “ Fox 40 Performance, 203mm”.

Is this a typo or downgrade form 2020 “Fox 40 Performance elite” ?

If it is right specification, what is different between Performance elite and Performance?

Thanks

Performance elite is factory damper whereas performance is a low price version without external hs compression.
