Has anyone had their v10.7 linkage hyperextend? I’ve had two crashes now on 1 foot drops I’ve done probably 100 times without issue, both where my front end takes a dramatic dive out of nowhere. I saw comments about a guy getting somersaulted into a rock garden by his linkage locking up and someone else saying theirs did that and they got a new bike. Is this still an issue with the newer v10s? I have a v10.6 and have ridden it for years without encountering the unpredictability or locking the linkage up. This bike is giving me trust issues, I’ve only ridden it like 5 times.

I never had this on my v5, 6 or 7

O+

Does anyone know if a 2021 29er frame is the same as a 2021 Mx frame? I know the 27.5 are different.

Thoughts?

They’re not. I have the MX. the bike is for its wheel size you bought it as. But with the mullet you can drop the fork in the crowns and go 27.5 maintaining geo and BB height.

I spoke with Santa Cruz. The V10 MX has the front triangle of the 29er and a completely different swing arm. According to the Santa Cruz Rep there are 2 front triangles, 29er and 27.5 and 3 swing arms, 29er, 27.5 and MX. That is what they’re able to get the exact same Geo, and bottom bracket height on the MX and 29er.

I was told the same.
