is anyone selling a boat this spring? around $4000? in and around central ontario

what kind of boat are you looking to buy? because for $4000 your not going to get a whole lot
yea you wont get much for 4000, but look on auto trader, thats where i got my boat

i know i'm not gunna get anything special, or new. I've seen a few for 4000 but they're at least 15 years old, but all i'm looking for is something to throw a decent wake

is there anything that really matters about it. cuz if you wake a decent wake you want something with a deep hull because your not going to be able to get a ton of fat sacks in there to weight it down. also something with a 4.3L stern drive would be good.

Hey guys i need HELP! I've seen a boat and its a 17ft with a 115 hp johnson. I need to know if it will be able to pull grown men out of the water. This is the only boat i've found that seems like it will work and i really want it to! thanks

it deffinately will. my dad use to wakeboard behind our 17ft invader with a 155hp evinrude. it may take longer to get them out than a more powerful boat would but it will be able to get them up

but 115hp and 155hp are completely different. i know you know that but i was told not to go any lower than 150hp on a 17 footer. Was the invader a heavy boat?

woops my bad. that should have been 115 not 155. the invader i had was only rated to have up to 120hp. it depends on the boat but 115 will be fine.

So I am getting a 1986 20 ft. Tempest bowrider with a 140 horse engine and I want to get into wakeboarding. This should be powerful enough, right? I am guessing I am going to need a couple water sacs to get the wake up? Also what is a good beginner board?

140hp will be fine. i pulled my dad behind our old boat which had 115hp. sacs will work just make sure you dont go over your boats load capacity. i used a hyperlite motive when i first started and i really liked it. check it out!
