my mate has a rear el camino brake and well when he first bought it, it was incredibly spongy and took about 3 months to bed in. then it went from the spongyness & went quite solid everytime you pressed it, seemed more powerfull than it actually was. like the bloke said get the strokers, much better brakes overall. i myself use hfx9's and tbh they have taken alot of stick, i am upgraded in a few weeks though to avid codes 2008
Stroker are a good all round brake, if your short for money the HFX9 arent bad either. My friend has a Hope V2 an for some reason thats lost power. Codes are also a good brake, but quite costly!
