Hey y'all
I'm currently thinking about getting a new frame for AM and Enduro and I have some doubts. This is a list of frames which I consider potentially interesting:

Specilized "SX Trail"
Intense 6.6
Giant "Reign X"
Transition "Bottle rocket"

Currently I'm more with Specialized, but I also like the geometry of the Bottlerocket.
there are some priority in my pick:
I'm looking for the frame with the ling chainstay, 135mm hub length and 10mm drop-outs, because I've already bought a new wheel-set that has these parameters.
I'm also straight up for air suspension - something like Swinger, Fox RP23 or 5th element.

what'd be your choose?

I'd get a Nomad or a 6.6. VPP Pedals brilliantly, feels good, and neither are too heavy.

Reign X without a doubt. It will pedal better than the SX which is a very important component in enduro/AM riding. The Reign will also be lighter overall. In all honesty, the Maestro technology is superior to anything else on the market. It is a very capable design that will allow you to climb like a goat and bomb downhill like you are on a DH sled. The price is also very conservative compared to the SX. Intense makes an excellent frame and so does Santacruz but they are considerably more than the other frames you are looking at. There is no doubt that VPP technology makes for an efficient pedaling bike but why spend a lot more on a frame when a Reign X will fit the bill? I mean you can get a Reign X0 frame with a DHX Air on it for a fraction of the cost of an Intense 6.6 or Santacruz Nomad. The Specialized SX might be a bit overkill for AM/Enduro riding as it is heavy and has noticeable pedal bob. The Transition BR just isn't in the same league as all the other frames you are looking at. It's simple design won't make it a bike that is friendly towards AM/Enduro. The BR is more of a descender than a climber.

Hahaha Ive said this before and Ill say it again... Giant Reign X!!!

Ill give ya a couple Reasons why.:

1. Maestro (IMO Simply the Best)

2. The Weight (A few friends have The Reign X and you can get the Coil to weigh in around 35 pounds... The Air can easily be brought to around 30 Pounds...)

3. Price (Yes the Bottlerocket may be abit cheaper but for what Giant is offering its just smarter to go with the Reign X... The Intense on the other hand is like Twice the price for something that works on the same level as the Giant...)

4. The bike can do anything and everything really good... Dirtjumping- DH riding- Slopestyle- And if you have something to prove to your XC buddays, You can XC with the thing!!!

Finally it comes down to personal preference... Try to ride the bikes and get a feel for them and go for the one that feels the best to you... But I would go for the Giant hands down!!!

GIANT PRIDE!!

i would say the enduro from spesh it lighter and just as capable. SX is heavier and more light freeride

Mistakes happen, as proved twice just now.

The Enduro would be a good choice, yes, but you'd be stuck with Spec suspension.

If your looking at Transiton then you should get a Preston FR or a Covert. Both are great for AM and are priced right.
