im not gonna lie, that was pretty impressive, but as it states in the first article "I smell a contest. Ford, you interested?" id put a 84 f150 up to the exact same punishment and expect the same results. idk about the 1.1 million miles thoe
i also like how they are making ford sound like the only competion didnt ask chevy or dodge if they wanted to compete
lol thats cause chevys an dodge dont set the standard lol yes that is very impressive. Try pulling that many km with any new truck though. They are made to fall apart so you end up purchasing new again its part of marketing. who would want to keep a vehicle for 500k anyway the amount of financial loss overpowers the bragging rights

LOL Are you kidding me a 80's Hilux vs a Ford f150 the fuel pump well go out just trying to get to point A to point B in the Ford. Let alone those challenges. Ive submerged my Toyota to the point where there was water rushing into the cab and water above the hood for a moment during a river crossing and my engine did not even chatter. Ive driven my 85 toyota into the ground with basic maintenance. Those trucks are built to drive and last, in the most extream conditions, all around the world. It seems like American made trucks are built around being driven on mostly pavement and are made to be good work trucks. Which is great if you need a work truck. i just prefer a Toyota because i want it to be able to start up everyday. gotta love that 22RE. But hey its all personal preference i guess. i just still don't get why GM put IFS on a full size truck. it seems ridicules to me. Especially if your going to be hauling or towing with the truck. dodge could put a better transmission in the trucks though, i agree with that. Hey you guys know whats lame is all the new Diesels you half to smog so crappy. Is it different over there in Canada? Smog wise?
