Guy's check this out and look at the 2nd picture.Trek is naming it the Trek Remedy 10.A mini version off the Trek session 10 with CTE but with out the adjustable drop outs.Yes it's another DH race bike http://bikemag.com/gallery/trek_session_88_release_gallery/
got a chance to check them out this weekend and they really are unbelievalbe so light trek gave my boss a FR one and one of the trek guys was riding a DH one as well as Cam., prob going to be the new bike to have in 09
this is going to be my next bike. im a mechanic for a trek dealer and so i figured out that the frame are out for retail at the beginning of september. then the whole bikes arent ready til november. Hehe I can get the session 88 dh for $3100 yea yea yea employee purchase. Id actually rather have all the saint components rahter than the avid on the 88 dh but its still an awesome bike. 38 lbs!!!
The only thing I don't like, is the flared headtube... If it's like the one on the Remedy, and requires a special fork, it pretty much destroys any chance you have of upgrading until more companies adopt the tech.
Read the artical dude,it has the E2 headtube and it's the same headtube that the remedy's uses and that fox 40 and totem on that bike have a special steertube for it.
The fox 40 on the DH 88 does not have a tapered steerer.
