I have a 2 litre hydration pack but I only use for very long rides because it takes ages to clean it afterwards.

I have this

I use for carrying food and cycle spares multi tool, pump, spare tubes etc. the bladder is pretty decent but it takes like 20 mins or so to clean afterwards

If you just use water then you don't HAVE to clean it after every ride. I clean mine weekly unless I use a juice or energy powder after the ride.

The last Cannondale I had. A blinged up Chase 1. Sadly enough the frame cracked.

Yeah! They have been called that. But the customer service is excellent and I had a new frame in 3 days time.
Any frame can crack so its nothing to get caught up on.

I've seen more Cannondale Jekyll frames crack than I can now count. I don't know what it is with the Jekyll but it just gets hairline cracks from JRA. Their customer service in the UK however is terrible compared to the US and other places. Took a customer of mine 6 months to get his frame from warranty. Their road bikes are quite nice though. I had a supersize NOS for £600 at one point. It was alright. Sold it again for £1000 though Smile

You may notice that I live in Sweden and thus had service from the Holland headquarters at the time. Same as you guys in UK would get (?). I too have seen alot of cracked frames from the likes of Cannondales, Specialized, TREK not to forget SCOTT and many more...
Some Cannondale models where more prone than others I guess, the Jekyll was probably one of the worst affected.

Im taking a wild guess and say that you made that stem yourself?
Why did you not machine it out more? That is one serious piece of alloy billet!

I have made a few stems, sadly I dont have any pictures of them.
Anyhow! While I liked the looks of the Gemini I never cared for how they rode.
