Here's the Intense M6... For those of you you are wondering, yes it's a pure race bike and here's its geometry!

First observations
1-Lower bottom bracket
I found strange to have a lower bottom bracket that the m3 as it was already low.
[If you want to compare, the SOCOM FRO have the same geo than the M3!
Of course it is a different bike due to shock placement, sag, etc! But
the geometry on paper is almost the same]

On the M3, you needed to correctly time your pedal strokes with rocks.
For those who ride this bike, they all knew what I'm talking about.
For the rest, here's a little story ...
Last week, I dislocated a toe after bashing a pedal on a rock.
That's not funny at all, trust me! Morphine please Confused !

So why a lower bottom bracket (Lower center of gravity, better cornering but..Ee?)

2-Increased stand over height.
I don't care. I like to have a small and nible bike but anyway!

3-A slacker head angle
Why a slacker head angle as the head angle on the M3 was nice [when "SAG"ed].
Remember that the bike have 3'' SAG so don't let geo on paper fool you.

I always found Intense mesurements quite strange anyway.
Maybe this time they did thems without tires!

Here's a question, why 2 versions of the M6? One was shown at Interbike and the other at Expocycle(The difference is the rear triangle).

Here's fact about the bike for those who were wondering...
-9'5'' Travel (not linear)
-10,5 / 3,5'' Stroke rear shock (Cane Creek DB , Manitou Revox)
[Rumors about Fox working on a 10'5 DHX too)
-2 Lbs lighter than the M3 [M3 is 10,5Lbs DHX 5,0/Steel Spring, M Frame powdercoated]

What do you mean "overkill"? The M6 is a purpose built RACE BIKE. Race bikes have super slack head angles and ridiculously low bottom brackets. Intense has been known for their geometry, so don't think its a mistake. Also, just because there is exposed stanchion doesn't mean the fork gets that much travel, the fork is an 8" Travis.

I made an update on the thread with more informations...

I personnaly love the geometry of both the M3 or M6. I'm curious to see how the lower BB height will affect the ride. I mean, it's only 0.375 inches lower...

Still a pretty nice bike, I'll wait and see...

I must admit I did check the clamps and they are not the same colour...thanks! My mistake but anyway this is the Dorado!

Stiffer and stronger than ever! Bad new, you'll need to wait till the end of spring or even next summer. But I prefer Boxxers Wink

this is NOT the same fork.... say what you want its not the same fork... not the same upper legs, guards, crowns, sticker, and the added piggyback... the TI coil on the rear shock too...

this is definitively a white brothers groove fork. http://www.whitebrotherscycling.com/product-dh.php?specs=groove200

where have you been!??! Kovarik was on one ALL season long testing it out. and hes not with intense for 2008, they dropped him from their racing program, and signed matti who quit team honda. Which was a good move for matti because he really improved, and honda isnt looking for two number 1's they have minnarr whos their number 1, now there looking to sign a number two which matti USE to be. Matti will now by the head of the intense racing team
