thinking old creek gap at the bottom of dirt merchant. hard to tell from the angle

That makes sense, my 12 year old said Dirt Merchant, I'm not even sure if Crabs existed back then. Creek gap before it was wood was a big deal.

I think you're right on Dirt Merchant, but I think its the big step up at the end, not the creek gap.

I agree. Looks like the step up to me too.
Am I the only one that misses the old Dirt Merchant, GLC Drop etc...?

And yes. I'm old.

My kid misses GLC drop and he's not even old enough to have ever hit it, same with old dirt merchant, creek gap.

I miss the very first part of the really old Dirt Merchant. Ride down the wooden ladder, turn left & catch air off the dirt jump. Now that it's a pro-line, I never ride it.

The pro line literally starts halfway down and has a single black option to the left - old rutabaga resurrected from the ashes. The top part may be rated double black but that was a topic of much internal debate for basically as long as it has existed.

Seems you may have just excluded yourself for little reason?

Also, I don't think there's any chance that picture is the old final step up of dirt merchant. There was never grass on the deck. The old (but not oldest) creek gap is a possibility, as is the old version of the freight train step up before the sidetrack/duffman/ft/no duff meeting area.

My vote is the freight train step up as well. The slope coming in looks too steep to be the end of dirt merchant.

Yes! I loved the top half that as well! Although that wooden ladder could get good and greasy when it rained. Found that out the hard way.

I change my vote to the step up on Lower Freight Train just before the Duffman/No Duff/ Frieght Train split at 3.5.

I think Nickel nailed it.

Seems like a long time now that hit has been gone, every time I pass through there I find myself thinking didn't there used to be something cool here? Glad I found that photo and posted it. Bring back the FT step up!

It is not the old creek gap as it was not that much of a step up (or at all? memory fades).

Im thinking FT as well; speaking of which, I kinda wish they would just go back to the straight shot into the (now much smaller) current step up into the clearing. I get that its kinda sketchy airing into an area where almost everyone stops, but those 2 corners before it are always in terrible shape - even after the rebuild they recently got.

For the people who live in Whistler, Is Whistler going to actually get the Creekside Gondola and Big Red finished prior to winter. Snows coming real quick according to the forecast.

Word is now it is 100% not going to be ready for opening day - cables are still being shipped and have processes etc to do with testing before being put in place. Wait and see I guess
