marz. have a better small bump absorbtion reputation but I've never ridden any of the higher end forks so I don't know from experiance, I own a 40 though and it's a pretty damn good fork so thats the only reason I could think of...
how come you went from a fox 40 to a marzocchi 888? Doesn't the fox ride alot smoother?
The Fox 40 has is a really nice fork, I got the marz for freeride as well. Just trying to test out a couple of forks and I had the 66 already as well as the 40 rc2. The 888 is smoother but the 40 is like a cadillac over small stuff, definently a great race fork!
