Shimano came out with Carbon Fiber Dura Ace cranks in October. They are tantalizing to say the least.

quite easily! - all roady stuff is even too weak for me!
oh well if you want to pay like £200 to lose 20g its up to you!

I would never buy DA just the same as I wouldn't buy XTR. XT and Ultegra are damn near the performanc and weight of their big brothers so definitely no reason to spend nearly double for a very marginal improvement in performance.

I think they're a great looking crank ...

Shimano:

bigquotesIn numbers: weight of this crankset (including bottom bracket) is 709 grams and it is 10% stiffer than the aluminum Dura-Ace crankset FC-7800 that is already famous for its rigidity."

They are only $1400USD which is a bargain in the road world. There are cranksets made by SRM that can be upwards of $4000USD.

ya ouch. i thought my saints at 500 were pretty expensive.

but in comparison to the 4000 thats damn good. how much more compared to the normal dura ace

( my aunts looking at the normal DA's but i just showed her this)

Normal DA cranks can be bought for under $500 online.

holy fooooook

Road riding would be fun if it weren't so damn expensive. People complain about expensive MTB parts, when you can spend as much as a new car on a carbon fiber road wheelset.

i dont know how anyone could road race if they wernt rich/sponsored. Like 1400 for cranks Eek thats is rediculous. that is if you have nice parts youd have to be rich. How much would a nice complete road bike cost? just for poops and giggles
