Right heres how this should work
someone will post the weight of thier DJ bike if yours is lighter post yours.
Simple
Just three rules:
The bikes must have sus forks
and if there is a lighter bike on the thread than yours dont post yours!
so in theory as you go through the pages the bikes should get lighter
and last it must be weighed at a bike shop or on a hanging scales NO ESTIMATES! like bathroom scales

Go for it

2007 Specialized p2.
ODI lock on grips, blackspire bashguard, fiziks road bike seat, front brake is gone and it has been singlespeeded. Other than that, completely stock.
30.58 pounds, weighed at a bike shop

Another rule is they should be weighed on a bike shop scale, no bathroom scales or approximate weights. Once the weights really start getting low, I think picture proof should be provided

30.58 pounds is still what to go by, as the STP is approximate

Pics on a scale and I'll believe it.

I'm not going to go and put all my stock parts back on and go to my LBS and put it on a scale so some kid over the internet will believe me...

okey dokey
but i just figure it's complete bull...similar everything, but your frame is definitely heavier, because it's cromo and a brodie, and mine is alu
my fork might be slightly heavier, but the frame offsets it
i'm just confused as to where you lost 4 pounds over mine.
and the stock 08 brodies are 34 pounds, it says on the site.

You can believe it's bull all you want, it was stock 26.5 pounds. No word of a lie.

Yeah so i just checked the bike out on the site, the part spec stock is pretty much identical. Different part names, but they're essentially the same parts. I still can't believe that it was 26.5 stock. Upgraded, yes, but not other wise. For my bike (with a lighter frame than yours) to get to 26.5, I would have to run tubeless, with skinny tires, new fork, new hubs and rims, new bars, stem, seat/post, etc. Your bike is probably almost a pound heavier than mine just because of the seat.

Anyways, enough thread jacking. The weight to beat is still 28.
