I want too have my sprocket without the bashguard but i cannot figure out a way too do this. There is about 1 cm of play because the inserts are too long when i remove the bashguard. Its a raceface sprocket with a e13 bash on raceface diabolusx cranks. Help would be GREAT!
(I hope you understand what i mean, if you have a question ask please)

you can get smaller bolts to hold on the sprocket then u might as well put it on the outside where the bash used to be

its better to keep the bash on there though or you keep getting your trousers stuck between the teeth and the chain

Ahh didnt know ya could. What do you mean put it on the outside. Put what on the outside?

when you first get the cranks the middle ring sprocket is on the inside of the arm, and either the outer ring or a bashguard is on the other side. -basicly just put the sprocket where the bash was

just keep the bash ring on

The chainring bolts are made specifically for use with a bashguard, you either have to get spacers for these bolts, or get bolts made for a single chainring setup.

I just put it on the outside and that did nothing heh, what are them bolts called that i have too buy shorter so i know what too search for.

chainring bolts, come in pack of 5, you get them in two sizes. what you want is the single ring bolts Smile

and by the way putting the sprocket on the outside makes no difference, it just looks better

that will mess up the cain line though, wont it? im pretty sure thats bad for your sprockets and chain.
jsr go to your lbs or maybe even a hardware store and find a few washers that will fit and put those in
