I'd like to know the strongest rim available, I don't care about weight, price or anything like that, just strength.

Arrow Racing. I've beaten my set(FRX) daily for over 2 yrs with heavy hardtail abuse(dj's/drops/urbn) and these rims really just want more!(rear hub's going first) I may try the Syncros someday, but I will ALWAYS have a set of Arrows ready. Oh, and Bender "uses" em' too! Check em out!

Any freeride/DH rated rim.

If it's laced and built by somone who knows what they're doing it will be very very strong.

That's a big part of it. It's also helpful to increase spoke count. If you look hard enough, you can find rims and hubs drilled for 48 spokes. Also, reducing the size makes for a stronger wheel, so you could go with 24" wheels and huge tires for that "I just stepped out of 2003" look.

there are only a few choices for most burly overbuilt rim.

1) arrow dhx in 26 spoke
2) funn 48 spoke
3) halo 48 spoke

Bombshell makes a 48 spoke rim and hub I think
