theirs been a few pics on pb of it their was on of a redone giant with a fork for a shock

think how much just one top end shock costs


let alone two!! lol

bike companies would have to jack there prices up to accomadate this and then people wouldnt buy b'cos its too expensife

You do realize the incredible markup there is on those sorts of components, right? It really doesnt cost the manufacturer much for a shock. ESPECIALLY on large production runs.

Well, the Karpiel Apocalypse has a coil, with a smaller air shock attached at the end of the coils stroke. It's not quite what the thread starter was talking about, but it's similiar, and it's a production model, not some random homemade beast.
