[YT=https://youtu.be/gGbL3dK65P8] actually in love with the nomad 4.
can't play vid ??
nice vid ,was that filmed at coed y brennin??, shows how good this bike is !!! , got mine couple of weeks back ,only done bits on it so far , first trip to revolution bike park on friday can't wait to see how it goes .
Here's my new bike. Beats the previous one up and down. Very impressed. Had every version of the Nomad and I really thought that previous one was about as good as it could get, but this one beats it hands down. Photo by Petri Miniotas More pics (closeups) in my album

Thought the same thing, but this Nomad takes a dump on the old one.

agreed , had a month on mine now and ridden every sort of trail from x2 black diamond in wpb to full alpine xc day out and everything in between , it rocks
love the chromag seat , may have to copy that on min
The seat angle is steeper so it's a better pedaling position. And the linkage is tuned for more mid stroke support so it helps it sit higher in the travel when pedaling. So yes, it does indeed climb better. And of course it shreds like a beast on the way down. It's sure no V10, but it's the closest thing I've felt that you could call a trail bike.
Curious to hear peoples thoughts compared to V3...cuz I'm a V3 owner and am not sure how it could actually be that much better :O
I've recently changed from v3 to v4 and after the first couple of months riding inc two weeks in BC riding old school tech on the north shore and full days in WBP as well as the new "into mystic and lord of the squirrels" trails and a day at coastal gravity park and the best of britain at revolution bike park and antur stiniog i can confidentialy say the v4 is better in every way for me .
it climbs better with less loss of traction on the front wheel on steep tech climbs the longer frame makes it feel so much more stable at high speeds on loose rocky descent the rear end grips the ground so much better due to the more linear coil shock on big jump lines in whistler it felt so much more like a full dh rig than the old v3 , inspiring confidence to try bigger things
i loved my old nomad v3 and believed that was the best long travel bike ever , but i would not go back , the new one is better . my only advise would be try before you buy as getting the size and fit right is paramount
