hi i am making this thread so that people with home made frames can show there designs
********EDIT BY MODERATOR*********** -DRACO-
I have added a couple pics from page 261 right at the beginning so you can see what we are talking about!

Considerations for design- seriously, guys, there is a ton of things you need to consider/keep in mind and think about.
Once i was happy with the angles and geometry, and had the linkage worked out, it was time to figure out how the frame was going to be built. Tube placement, diameters, angles of the tubes that dont affect geometry.. etc.
The lower rightmost one above was the final.
So then you check axle path and tire clearance.
Then you check chainstay clearance, chainring clearance, crankarm clearance, chainguide clearance.. eeeeesh
Then you design pivots!
Then you design a jig to hold the pivots in place!
The linkage in number 1 looks a little wonky. Maybe it's just me.
Kinda seems that it needs to decompress before it can be compressed.
i dont think thats where the shock is supposed to go, its not finished. notice the two holes in the other linkage and the one in the top tube support, it probably goes there

it does at first look like it would have to but it doesnt have to... i thought it at first too
im building some stuff out of foam/fiberglass, i was thinking a frame and rigid forks, but i dunna how well that gunna work out, i made a trials frame just for shits one day last yeah and that was pretty fun, maybe ill actually try to make a n actual frame to use now, proly a street hardtail, ill take pics if i can/do
P.S those are some sweet bikes for being home made man, keep it up(Y)
