I wasn't too sure of where else to ask this but what do you guys think of putting a Rockshox Vivid Air on a Sunday?

I've heard you need special linkage to run them. This might not be true though.

I know your looking at a dh bike, so dude, the Sunday is so so wicked

Special linkage to run any vivid or special linkage to just run a vivid air?

And the Sunday has always been my dream bike! I'm hoping that I can get my hands on one soon

I think most shocks that aren't a dhx 5.0 need a special piece. Take that with a grain of salt though, it's just what I recall from some other forums.

Oh yeah, I knew that. It's like that on all frames I believe because where the bushings go through the eyelets, fox's eyelets are wider then Rockshox and maybe all the other shock companies too. I though you just meant the vivid air needed special linkage lol.

I'm really curious to know how the Sunday rides with an air shock tho. Does anyone have any experience?

And is there a difference between the world cup, factory, and elite frames? Or are they just all the same frames with different labels?

i know the factory frames have a lighter tube set. the vivid coil needs a different linkage, theres a tiny notch out to clear the bottom end rebound adjuster. i never felt the vivid worked very well on my Sunday, small bump was awfull, felt like the tune was well off but it had the lightest tune available. just put a fox dhx5 and am much happier with it now.
