well, im thinking of building up a single speed dual suspension bike like 3'' of travel, what would be a good but fairly cheap frame and fork combo.

you're kidding right???? Fairly cheap dually is generally $1500 and thats just general riding. Something that will take DJs and street youre looking at at least $2000 unless you find something used. Still a fullie for DJ's and street? Where do you live that you need a fullie for street?

O+

Cheap and ds dont belong in the same sentence. 3" ds bike isnt worth it, just stick to a ht.

im just looking for a frame not an entire bike and also ill probably get used and its going to be for dj and freeride I live in North Vancouver

3" is hard to come by, Go for a Kona Cowan DS, it has 4" of trav, and throw a manitou gold label on it if you want cheapish.

i'd have to agree. i'm not the biggest fan of gold labels but they're cheap and they do the job for djs and street. the ds will handle smooth fr but i don't think the gold label would be your best bet for fr. i'd prefer a marzocchi dj3 for light freeride myself (if you still want a fork that is going to handle your djs and street).

Transition Doubles are 3.5" frames made for DJ's. They are a little pricey at about $1500 with shock. As for a fork just keep an eye on your local bike shops for a good deal on a Dirt Jumper, Argile, or Gold Label.
