hey im going to buy a 2008 kona bass but am wondering if i should swap the air dhx 5.0 for a coil.get this the spring is lighter to look it up on fox website if you dont believe me. i want a coil because i heard that air shocks arent good for any big drops and a lttle hard to tune so give me a shout on what you think thanx

Ok... so heres how it goes.
Fox Measures the DHX air with everything you need to ride it.
oil and everything.

The Measure The Coil without the spring.
so in actual fact. it isnt lgither at all.

i would rather have a air, even if it doesnt work to well on drops and big stuff it would make up for its light weight.

The dhx air works fine on big drops and it is 400 grams lighter than a coil. The real difference is small bump performance. The coil is more sensitive on small stuff but if it is on the Kona Bass then there is no reason why you would need small bump compliance. I have both btw. Don`t change it, imo.
