I dont really want to spend anything over £300 on a light weight wheel set. I ride quite hard and have bent both my single tracks. I want the lightest wheels possible but that can still take a good thrashing with out bending. I was thinging of some mavix deemax's but herd that the hubs are crap? any suggestions would be appreciated.

The hubs on the Deemax are great so long as you do preventive maintenance and constantly maintain/watch them. I have never had any problems with mine but then again, I look everything over before I go for a ride. They also cost more than 300 Pounds. Spend a little more and get a decent set of wheels that isn’t as maintenance intensive as the Deemax. Hope Pro II hubs laced to Mavic's EX823 rim with DT Competition spokes will serve you well. They are light, durable, and reasonably priced for what you get. However, by no means is this the lightest DH wheelset out there.

Azonic Outlaws are lighter than the DeeMaxs and you can pick up at set from around $210 to $250 US. Very strong wheels. I have been running them for years.

Good Luck Man!!!

How about some stans ztr flow rims so you can run tubeless, lace them to some dt, hope, hadley or some other hub with some dt spokes and your set up for a nice light wheelset

I run the Outlaws Tubeless. Tubeless rim strips and Michelin Tires. Works great.

Hope this helps out...

mavic EX721 are nice and light, but mabey not the lightest, some of them on some pro 2 or somthing seems ok? i have run 721's for somthing like 2 years and i have put them through alot, broke a hub and cracked a frame doing drops and jumps, but the rims have been fine.
