I had BB5's on my 08 p1 that came stock. I liked them. I switched it over to Juicy 5's and noticed that the juicy's dont have quite as much power(you have to squeeze the lever harder) , but the control is much better. The pads on the juicy's are older though, so that could have something to do with it. I would suggest any of the juicy series, but mechanical works just fine. Stay away from hayes brakes. I had HFX 9's on my old gemini and they are like on/off switches. (locked or not locked)

no experiance with the FUNN drop outs. Juicy 7's yes very good for street and DJ and freeride.

The FUNN brakes are about as good as hayes brakes (not good). Shimano Deore (hydros) are good cheap brakes, juicy 5s are also quite good, I personally prefer the shimano ones though as they don't sqeal as bad as the juicys.

I HATE HAYES cables are weak kink easy especially for dirt and DJ thats not good. Shimano the saints are good (expensive though) Never used deore. Avid fan Beer

I assume you only want a rear brake? Look at Ebay. Ive been shopping around myself, and there are Ebay stores selling Juicy 5's for like 116 dollars. (rear, 185mm)
Code 5's are 121 dollars I believe. (rear, 185mm)

Check it out, yeah?
