Hello guys. I am new here and would like to ask a few question. I have a deemax with 135mm rear hub that i used for my old DH bike (Dabomb Mindbomb) but i find out that newer FR and DH bikes uses 150mm. Is there a convertor to make it to 150 like a longer thru axle with spacer? Is there other solution to make my 135 hubs fit? I dont want to buy a new wheelset cause my budget now is low. Thanks for any suggestion
As Far as i know, you cant buy spacers to convert a 135 to a 150. Although, you could try adding spacers to the disc side of the wheel, then, adding more spacers on the caliper mount to push the caliper over to align it with the disc.
if your bike uses a floater it's pretty easy to space the floater and caliper mount over, you'll just have to have your wheel dished to a 150mm rear size which may entail a new wheelbuild because of spoke lengths. I have done this and it worked well for a season. but I did bend a few axles due to stress not being next to the dropouts.
Thanks for all the sugestions guys. I guess there is no way to convert it .I think i have to get a frame that is using 135mm. I am thinking of the Turner Highline. Is it 135mm? Cause when i check their website it says 150mm but when i ask my local dealer it, the salesman says it is 135mm. I am confuse now
