larger discs increase the power of the brake.

you can try it your self:

try spinning the wheel from the tyre and from the driver cog.
it will be easier from the tyre, since there's more torque the further you go from the center point.

so if you really want to use a small bmx leaver, you can use 180-200mm discs

As in I keep smashing hydro brakes , don't want to run brake less, rims make me puke in my mouth and bmx levers don't have sharp edges to cut your hands up a la avid vee levers...
