hey me and my buddy really want to learn them so we built up a jump and gave it a try but we werent very succesful so i was hoping that maybe somebody who is more experienced and has done some themselves might be able to give us a few tips thanks a lot.
thats what i did the first few times i tried flips. you just have to commit(easier said than done). a softer jump or a step up would make it less scary too. thats the video of me learning flips and some other tricks. https://vimeo.com/1385994
i actually was trying to flip and my bike would just seem to fly away from me it wasnt because i was wussying out or anything like that
your still not committing. none of you guys got inverted and if you did i dont think that jumps gonna work with the speed your taking into it. just my advice but if i was you i would stay on my bike and lean back as hard as you can and look back so you can spot your landing.
you need more speed, a bigger jump and commitment.. learn them into water or into snow backflips are all about committing. Myself having only done a few sucessful flips ( into snow ) am not the best instructor, but you are certainly not committed it the video.. more pussying around.
I just learned backflips the other day. Looks to me that you need more speed and deff. need more height. Trust me, I went slow one time and couldn't make the full rotation and landed onb the side of my head. I'll upload vid soon. But you will need a bigger jump.

Awesome job! I'm so impressed! You actually just stuck with it and forced your body into it. Really cool.
A: bigger jump B: learn into foam/snow/water first C: you gotta commit, it looks to me as if you're just pussying out so u can tell everyone i tried to flip D: you gotta put your hips forward and then look up, keep rotating your head and try and look at the back tyres.
okay... ive never done backflips but theres three points: 1: in all your attempts your not looking back, which is causing your body to stay still and your bike to flip out 2: bigger jump, more speed... if you actualy got upside down, youd land on your head 3: FFS, before you go killing yourself, get some more foam on that jump, and loosen up the soil.
First of all, i've only done them into foam and I even had trouble at first. But I found the biggest problem is that you have to push through the lip with your legs as if you're pulling up and manualing hard through the top of the jump, then look back.
Also, get a BIGGER JUMP and MORE SPEED or else it just won't happen.
