I used the campsite in La Thuile, it’s cheap and good.
Pila has lots of little places to stay, but maybe you might prefer staying in Aosta so you can have more shops, bars and restaurants?

Normally stay in a self catered chalet when we are away so looking something similar. Been told there are some apartments in Pila near the lift but trying to find a contact.

Hello! Ciao tutti! I am SO excited to go to Elba in June 2019 to celebrate my grandmother's 100th birthday. We are planning a mountain bike road-trip in a van from Paris to Elba. I spent many childhood summers with her in Liguria and very very excited to go back and discover mountain biking trails near there as well. My Italian is rusty so need to work on that!
--Any one have websites/recommendations for renting a cargo van (we are brining our bikes)?
--Will use Trailforks and also have read the previous posts and recommendations for trails/areas but any more wisdom from this group would be great.
--Any favorite camping spots?
Thanks for your advice.

Hello from Scotland
I posted on here last year, I was hoping to plan a trip to Italy but due to wife medical issues the plans fell through, currently sitting here with damaged ligaments and chipped bone, wife's treatment will be finished in 5 weeks so now have time to plan trips.I was thinking an all boys trip to Finale/Molini, when is the best time to go, looks like autumn, according to u tube. We both love Italy, particularly northern Italy and will be coming to Garda, I hope get a couple of days riding in. When is the best time of year to come to both locations, is there bike hire in Garda, we would like a bit of warmth as I live in Scotland and we don't see the sun very often.

North Lake Garda is good from March to October so you have enough days on calendar to point to Big Grin

Riva del Garda and Torbole are a big centre for mountain bikes so you can find there any type of shops or rent and shuttle. Torbole is more suitable than Riva del Garda because many tracks end there (or near).

I write here some link for Lake Garda that i like

Hi,

Do you know any good Italian website where I could fin gps tracks for mtb, like trailforks?
I am going to Sicily (Pozzallo) soon for work for a few weeks, I shipped my bike there, and I would like to find trails around my basecamp.
Couldn't find anything interesting on trailforks or wikiloc.

Any suggestion?

Thanks!
