I've been building a cable cam the past few days and this is the finished product. It runs completely smooth with no shake or wobble in it. It has full tilt and pan. My next step is to rig up some sort of remote controlled motor or brake to it to control the speed. I should have some biking footage in the next few days.

The run I had setup was pretty short, mainly because it was set up pretty steep. The cable is 50ft long

pretty sweet setup, and sweet camera Wink You're pretty daring to strap your sony to that setup without a brake! Theres no way in hell you could get me to strap my Z1 to a cable cam setup without a brake Razz

I'm still working on the brake part. I wasn't worried about it the way I had it setup.
