Do you like to race or are wanting to get into racing. Do you live in Michigan. Well then come check this out.

Here is some words from the team Manger.
[Quoten]People come up to me all the time and say, "Daniel, how can I get on your team?" Well, this is it! Apply online today until December 1st to race with us in 2009.

The RACING GREYHOUNDS are the premier cycling team in Michigan for the weekend warrior. Our mission has always been to give grassroots level racers the pro level experience, and in 2009 we hope to build on that even more. We are backed by some of the greatest companies in the bike world including BMC, Redline, and Mavic for 2009, as well as Cycle to Fitness and Woodland Lanes of Livonia. If you've gone to an MMBA CPS race this year, you've seen the plaid jerseys, and the "Greyhound Compound" set up at all the events. Here's your chance to become a part of the best team in Michigan!

The RACING GREYHOUNDS are a registered USA Cycling Club and are defined as a developmental team. We are very focused on getting beginner and sport level riders and helping you grow as a cyclist. While we do have a solid core of Expert riders, we look to our more experienced riders to help our other riders develop. Part of the "Pro-Level" experience at races is having someone to hand you water bottles for each of your laps, having an extra set of wheels ready to roll if something happens to you, or even knowing that there will be Oreo Double Stuffs waiting for you when you finish your race.

In addition to our awesome support at races, we have numerous training rides throughout the week, focused training sessions before the season starts, and organized pre-rides before all of the races we attend. You may have seen us at mountain bike races this year, but we also have a Tri team, and a road team too. Our road team finished in second place in Cat 4, which is pretty darn impressive for our first year as a road team! We will build up our road team in the next year as well, and here is a great opportunity for you to get some fast cross training in! We also have an experienced CycloCross team. If racing is your thing, we will be sure to give you the best support at whatever your discipline is! In 2008, the RACING GREYHOUNDS supported over 50 events, including all of the MMBA CPS races, most of the MBRA races, Lumberjack 100, oodles of Tri's throughout the state, and a handful of endurance races. We are everywhere!

Ok, so what if racing isn't your thing? For our race team we do require our team members to participate in 5 races throughout the year, but in 2009 we will also be offering a "Sport Level" sponsorship for riders that just like riding. Sport level riders will get the same support at races, but will not have access to coaching that we offer to beginner and sport level riders, and will not get the same discounts on bike shizzle (Don't worry we'll still hook you up with some discounts!). However, the Sport level riders will have access to our exclusive team only events, which is pretty darn awesome.

What's that? You haven't heard about our exclusive team series? Well if you aren't a Greyhound, that's probably why. Each year we have an exclusive team only race series consisting of 6 different timed events. We had our own parking lot criterium, a night time trial at Island Lake, the Quad Pontiac Challenge, Maybury Hot Lap, Hines Drive Time Trial, and the Island Lake Duathlon. For 2009 we will host 1 more team exclusive event that will BLOW YOUR MIND! How can you get in on this action? Become a RACING GREYHOUND! These races are exclusive for team members only, and are FREE to all team members.

In addition to our team race series we also have awesome discounts on bikes, parts, accessories, and clothing. Everyone wants the hookup, well, here is your chance to get that hook-up!

Ok, so just to re-cap. Join the RACING GREYHOUNDS in 2009 for:

The application deadline is December 1st, 2008. The requirements for our Race Team is as follows:
-Commit to 5 public races for the 2009 season
-Do at least 2 community service events
-Have a positive attitude

Apply here:

If you would just like to apply for our "Sport" team, just apply. There is no race commitment.

That's it! If you have any other questions about our race team, feel free to stop by Cycle to Fitness any time to chat about it.

Make 2009 your best season ever, join the RACING GREYHOUNDS!!![/Quoten]

Were do you live at? We have had out of state members, I am not sure if they are allowing it this time or not but it never hurts to try.

I'm living in Hamilton, ON. But I'm a college student, and don't really have any racing experience. I also can't commute. No car. I'm pretty much starting out, going into marathon racing.
