If you could look at a Specialized SX frame. There is a surplus of 2005 frames still at the Specialized warehouse and there selling them for dirt cheap. The price for a frame and 2008 fox DHX 5.0 air is $600. For that price its an unbeatable value and an amazing frame.
Got any more info on this?

or if you want somthing light, id go yeti 4x, i think its got like 3.5 or somthing like that and its soo light. my buddy used to ride one like it was a dh bike and its still in perfict shape

and with all that talk about chain tenchoners before, even if you dont need one i still like them more then always having to pull back your wheel, which can be really dumb. i ride a 4by ss and i like it so much more.

Specialized apparently way over-produced the 2005 SX's. They sold out of the completes early this year, (MSRP $2000 with 08 Fox 36 van. and 08 DHX 5 Air plus all SRAM goodies, no Hayes or Shimano) but they still have a bunch of brand new frames there liquidating. There are 2 brand new 2005 SX frames at my LBS right now with a price tag of $599. My friend who works at the shop just bought a frame and a set of 07 Fox 36 Floats for a whopping $700. Eek

Hey guys, I was just wondering what bike would be the best for DJ's, slopestyle, and a bit of freeride. I would want to make the bike single speed too. Which on do you think is the best and give reasons.

Norco 4X
Norco Empire 5
Kona Bass

DOUBLE!

You've got a fully custom build if I had a bass to run a fully custom build I could probably get it under 30.
