I'm hoping to get a couple of tires I'm looking at... the guy changed his mind about shipping and now it's pickup only in Victoria. Is there anyone who goes between that area and the mainland and could pick them up for me?

Care to share where you are willing to meet and what you're willing to compensate someone for this task?

So, I was made aware that I was indefinite. My apologies, I will attempt to be more concise. Smile

I need inexpensive tires and am considering a pair in Victoria BC. I am in Snohomish County. I can of course travel to pick up; I'm not asking for a delivery, but naturally the closer to me the better. I can meet as far north as Bellingham (I occasionally visit, am willing, and a good friend who agreed to be a pick-up works there) or Anacortes (I work there periodically).

For CAN people, if it's a deal breaker and the only way I can get tires, I'll cross the border, maybe up to about Van, but if at all possible I'd rather not.

I suppose compensation would depend on the situation eg how far out of the way it is/ how far/long someone travels/how much work they put in... of course everything will be specified and finalized beforehand; leaving someone hanging is absolutely not my plan. As a general idea, I guesstimate with what the guy wants, I could throw in $5-15 extra to cover gas/a bit of time, depending on the tire price... past that it'd be less expensive to get more expensive tires closer to home. Of course I wouldn't expect someone to pay for a ferry ticket just for my tires, say... nothing absurd like that, I'm reasonable. Big Grin I was just wondering if someone was already going that route. Smile

Thinking of driving up from Bellingham and riding either Whistler or Squamish. Would ride Sat, maybe Sun as well. However, I don't want to ride solo. Anyone in the area want to come along? I just moved to the area back at the start of June, and would consider myself an intermediate rider. Let me know if interested! I would be taking off tomorrow morning.

Any 2018 or 2019 Capra 29er size M or L owners in the Bellingham Washington, Vancouver BC, or Sea to Sky area that would let me sit on their bike for sizing purposes? I'd gladly buy you some beers for your help!

I am also interested in sitting on a M or L 2018/19 YT Capra for sizing purposes. Let me know if anyone in the area has one.

Are there any shops here in town that do a weekly ride at Galbraith or Chuckanut? I haven't found anything looking online.

I believe Trek does a weekly ride on Wednesday evenings.

Right on! I just messaged them and plan to join. Moved here a month ago and I ride almost daily, but want to ride with others. Appreciate the recommendation!

I think Transition has a regular night ride but that might be a winter season thing. Did you check with Kona and/or Fanatik? Stop in - great shops too.

Anyone ride Galbraith yesterday and find a Toyota keyless entry key? We lost our key on the trail, heard someone picked it up but they took it home instead of leaving it. Toyota wants $500 to replace the key. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Keenan

Keenan,

I saw a post on the "Bellingham Trail Riders" group yesterday, a user posted they found Toyota keys. I would inquire on FB!
