Giant Faith pivot bolt busted!

Hey guys I just snapped a pivot bolt that goes through the lower link and thr rear triangle. The long portion of the bolt is fine, I just need the little section that screws into the long portion. I tried my local Giant dealer and they want $160 for the bolt!! Anyone know a cheaper alternative, I don't wanna get raped just for this little part.

I'm having a hard time picturing this piece, could you get a picture of it?

If its just a bolt that you're looking for, I would take it down to Fastenal. They specialize in fasteners and can get pretty well anything that's out there on the general market at a reasonable price.

I'm going to hit that Fastenel store today and see what they've got. Here's a pic of the bolt that I'm talking about. It runs throught the rear triangle and the lower pivot.

My old XTC has the uk number on a sticker with t mobile writen next to it but not sure if a Faith would have that on it?

edit: wait you have the phone number in there already?

There's no way that the single bolt costs $160. I would think that price is for an entire pivot kit with bearings. I purchased an entire bearing kit with all the Alu hardware for about $80, two years ago. Specify what that price includes dude, sounds like your shop might be taking advantage of you if its 160$ for that bolt alone.

i just called trek/gary firsher and they sent it to my local shop for free, no questions asked!
