hey i have a 08 kona stinky and was wanting to buy a used rear shock i know the eye to eye length is 8.5Confused and the stroke is 2.5 but i was wondering if i could get a 2.8 stroke or not thanks

From the picture on the website it looks like their is room. Send an email to Kona, or go ask you LBS. I just switched from a 2.28 to a 2.5 stroke on my stinky(04) with no problems. Are you buying a shock with an external resevoir? If so thats another size issue to consider.

ya i want to get an external resevior theres room for that just not sure about the stroke but i'll ask kona

just look at the stinky D! same frame as stinky, just a different spec list. I belive my 08 stinky d is a 8.5 i2i with a 2.5inch stroke. Its just the simple roco TST! I don't see why a 2.8 won't work.. it should.

what size shock in inches have you got on your stinky 04 now? because in looking for a good but not to expensive shock

Your friend is wrong,the stinky uses a 8.5 x 2.5 shock,or you could just measure it yourself.
