I was hoping someone here could help by find a full day ride (at least 15km) that's more XC (a challenge but nothing crazy technical) in the lower mainland.

Most preferably back country and not an urban trail.

I'd even be open to taking a tent and/or staying in a hut and realize that it's still Feb.

Mountain Highway and Fishermen's Trail look like a couple options?

Would love some tips!

Do the triple crown. That’s an all day ride.

Long dual crown day:

-Start your ride on Seymour (bonus points start from Deep Cove)
-Choose a climbing route to BP and
-Descend via Forever After (you can add Dales but its pretty tech)
-Transition to Fromme using Hyannis/Greenland/Bottle Top. Cross the suspension bridge and climb the gravel road to get to the pipeline Bridge by Rice Lake
-Ride the road a short distance to Lower Griffen. Good opportunity here for lunch/water/snacks from the "end of the line" general store
-Ascend Fromme via Lower Griffen/King of the Shore/Mtn Hwy
-Descend via Expresso (note if you dont want to climb Fromme twice, skip this step and the next)
-Climb Fromme a second time using the "No Quarter" climbing route
-Descend again, via Leppard/Crinkim Crankum/Kirkford/Griffens (you can add 7th Secret to the descent, but its pretty tech)
-Transition back to your starting point by retracing your steps across the bridge to the Bridal Path trail

There will be minimal road riding needed to connect them, mostly to connect the rice lake pipeline bridge to start climbing Fromme on Lower Griffen. Descend Seymour using the BP to Forever After, and do Leppard through Griffen on Fromme.
