Looking to pick up some tires for a trip to whistler/Squamish/pemberton. Coming from New England I normally ride assegai exo and dhr exo+. Should DD in that combo do the trick? Thanks

Lots of people get away with EXO/EXO+ here, there's not a ton of crazy sharp rock. Personally I run DD on my trail bike, have managed to cut a couple rear tires in recent years just with bad luck both times landing on a somewhat pointy rock. If you are thinking about some bike park laps, definitely recommend DD.
I‘m looking forward to riding the north shore for the first time somewhen next year. Only problem; I won’t have a bike once I‘m actually in Vancouver nor transport to the spots or within the city. Does anybody know if it is somehow possible to rent a bike in close proximity to the trailheads? Or are there maybe some shuttle services from the city or even guided tours? It’d suck if I was in Vancouver and I didn’t get to ride the shore.

I'd throw a DD in back. Whistler and Pemby have some sharper rocks, depending which trails you ride. EXO+ should be fine on the front.
Both in North Vancouver, have great bikes and can do tours/lessons.

I was planning a trip down to the coast to ride and was curious if any of the riding areas are more hardtail friendly than others?
Fromme and Seymour are both very hardtail friendly. Cypress is very rideable on an aggressive hardtail but would be less fun on a more xc oriented bike.

My nephew rides a 170mm meta HT... I have the same hardtail or a clash I haven't decided which one to bring
